Bhaktí. A Journey to the Music and Dance of India

A show that blends Bharatanatyam, a genre of dance whose essence stems from the worship that devadasis or holy dancers performed in temples, the classical Carnatic music of southern India, whose origins are in the ancient Vedas and whose oral tradition led to the creation of India’s different music systems, and the recitative and dramatised poetic nimbus, with works by Rabindranath Tagore, Chantal Maillard and Saint John of the Cross, among others.
